WASHINGTON – The Air Traffic Control Association (ATCA) announced Rigil received its Annual Outstanding Achievement Award for Small and Disadvantaged Business for developing and deploying the StrataGem™ learning platform to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).
ATCA presents the award for an achievement that added to the quality, safety, or efficiency of air traffic control in the past year.
The FAA provides portions of their training on-demand via StrataGem to help keep the nation’s airspace safe. Rigil was recognized for improving the quality and efficiency of the FAA’s training process, helping air traffic controllers learn via modern technology, and meeting mission-critical safety objectives while transforming learning in the aviation space.
Notably, the tool eased FAA employees’ transition to remote learning, helping them move forward with critical training during the global pandemic.
“This award demonstrates our commitment to our FAA partners and ability to provide innovative solutions that modernize industries and transform learning,” says Rakhi Sharma, Rigil’s President and CEO. “I’m proud of the team for creating meaningful learning experiences for our customers. Thanks to them, StrataGem has had an impact in the aviation and education industries, and I look forward to expanding our opportunities to make a difference in the future.”
Earlier this year, the FAA chose StrataGem for its national research study to validate remote learning beyond traditional classrooms with 10 higher learning institutions including:
- Auburn University
- InterAmerican University
- Purdue University
- The Ohio State University
- Tulsa Community College
- University of Akron
- University of Nebraska-Omaha
- University of North Dakota
- University of Oklahoma
- Wichita State University
